Catching Up with Dalton Britt

With the baseball season opener just two days away, Liberty Flames Sports Network's Nick Pierce caught up with junior shortstop Dalton Britt to discuss the upcoming year and this weekend's season-opening Atlanta Challenge.
Last season, Britt was named to the Big South All-Conference team and was one of 16 shortstops on the final Brooks Wallace National Shortstop of the Year Watch List. One of two Flames to play every game in 2014, the shortstop hit .299 with 35 RBI and 26 runs scored. In addition, he posted a 14-game hitting streak, the longest by a Liberty player in 2014.
Liberty, ranked as high as No. 23 in the preseason polls, will open its 2015 campaign at No. 19 Kennesaw State, Friday in the Atlanta Challenge. The Owls were an NCAA Super Regional Participant in 2014. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m. The Flames will also visit Georgia State, Saturday and Georgia Tech, Sunday as part of the Atlanta Challenge during collegiate baseball's opening weekend.
