With the Liberty men's and women's indoor track & field teams set to resume their seasons this week, Nick Pierce caught up with head coach Brant Tolsma.
The Flames and Lady Flames will compete in a pair of meets this week, beginning with Wednesday's Hornet Sprints, Jumps & Throws Challenge at Lynchburg College's Wake Fieldhouse. The meet is slated to get underway at 6 p.m.
Then, Liberty will preview the venue for the 2012 Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships on Friday and Saturday, when the Flames and Lady Flames compete in the Hokie Invitational. The two-day meet at Virginia Tech's Rector Field House will begin Friday at 5 p.m.
