The Liberty men's basketball team (19-9, 13-3 Big South) steps out of conference action on Saturday to host Iona in a Sears BracketBusters match-up. The contest is one of the 11 games televised nationally from a pool of 114 teams.
In this week's Coach's Corner, Nick Pierce caught up with Big South Player of the Week Evan Gordon and head coach Dale Layer to discuss Liberty's recent setback to VMI and the upcoming meeting with the Gaels.
The contest tips off at 3 p.m. and will air live on ESPNU. For every ticket purchased, Liberty will donate $5 to the Children's Miracle Network in an effort to raise funds for the construction of a pediatric center at Centra Lynchburg General Hospital.
