Following the success of the program and an aggressive sales plan during the last several months, the Liberty University Athletics Department has announced it has commitments for all 18 of its new Williams Stadium luxury suites.
The newly renovated Williams Stadium is slated to open on Oct. 2, when Liberty hosts Savannah State at 7 p.m., as part of Hall of Fame Weekend. All future interested parties will now be placed on a waiting list.
"We are very encouraged by the response of the Lynchburg community and friends and supporters of Liberty University Athletics to the new permanent luxury suite opportunity presented by the expanded Williams Stadium and the construction of the new football tower," commented Bob Good, Director of Athletics Development. "We are grateful to all of our new suite holders for their willingness to tangibly commit to the advancement of Liberty University Athletics and, specifically, Liberty Flames Football. We know that they will both enjoy and benefit from the experience of leasing a luxury suite for the 2010 season and beyond."
"It has been a great University team effort to get to this point in our first season offering the 18 permanent luxury suites, and our success is a reflection of the excitement for our football program and the resilience of those who worked diligently to sell the suites during the offseason," said Jeff Barber, Liberty's Director of Athletics. "I would like to thank the Flames Club team, the University administration and those departments who assisted us in this process."
Located on the fourth floor of the new Williams Stadium tower, each luxury suite consists of a total of 16 seats, comprised of 12 covered outdoor Irwin Citation seats and four indoor window seats. Each suite also comes with four preferred parking passes and four club pavilion passes.
The fourth-floor suite provides spectators with a breathtaking view of the action on the field, Liberty University campus and the surrounding Blue Ridge Mountains. The 19'x13' suite comes complete with a kitchen, living room furniture and a 42" LCD flat panel television.
Suite holders were permitted to lease for a single season or to commit to a longer term in order to mitigate their exposure to price increases from expected greater future demand. The suite holders for 2010 will have first right-of-refusal for next year, followed by the interested parties on the current wait list. Any available suites for the 2011 season will go on sale January 2011.
Any parties interested in learning more about the luxury suite opportunity or desiring to be placed on the wait list for future suites in 2011 should contact the Flames Club at (434) 582-CLUB (2582) or by email at FlamesClub@liberty.edu.
