After coaching the Liberty men's and women's track & field squads to their first sweep of the team titles at the Big South Indoor Track & Field Championships since 2005, Liberty head track & field coach Brant Tolsma sat down with Nick Pierce.
Tolsma recounted some of the meet's top performers and key events, which led to the men's team winning its unprecedented 13th consecutive Big South indoor crown and the Lady Flames halting Coastal Carolina's string of four straight championships.
Tolsma also discussed the IC4A and ECAC Division I Indoor Track & Field Championships, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday in Boston. Liberty will send 16 men's athletes and six women's athletes to the meet, which is the next-to-last event on the 2009-10 indoor track & field schedule.
