After winning its last two contests in last week's Chicago Invitational Challenge, the Liberty men's basketball team (3-5) is now setting its sights on conference play. This Thursday, the Flames host Charleston Southern at 7 p.m. inside the Vines Center, followed by another home contest on Saturday against Coastal Carolina.
Recently, Nick Pierce caught up with head coach Dale Layer to discuss the youthful Flames' recent performances as well as their progress thus far in the 2009-10 season. Some of the topics Layer and Pierce discussed include:
