LibertyFlames.com Interview with Jesse Castro
LibertyFlames.com had a chance to sit down and talk with head wrestling coach Jesse Castro before the Flames make the trek over the Blue Ridge Mountains this evening to grapple with the VMI Keydets. Opening whistle of the dual is scheduled to sound at 7 p.m., inside the Thunderdome.
During the interview, the second-year skipper gives listeners a recap of the Flames' 2007-08 schedule, including insight into Liberty's more challenging schedule. The head coach also discusses the Flames' returning letterwinners from last year's East Regional championship squad, plus the successes of his newcomers to the line-up.
Castro also previews the Flames' final dual match-up of the year against VMI, before Liberty hosts the NCAA East Regional Championship on March 9 inside the Vines Center. The event will mark the first time Liberty has hosted an NCAA Championship event on Liberty Mountain.
